| Spring
Bear Hunt |
2007
season started with our black bear hunts in Fort McMurray. This
was our most successful spring yet. We had a total of 17 hunters
kill 30 bears, 2 that were over 500lbs. We did have one of our
30 ft span bridges wash away in a spring flood but the guys
chipped in and we rebuilt it in a day, all part of the adventure.
All in all it was a fun spring for me and the hunters. We had
a good group from Arizona return again with a wish list of P
& Y bears, color phases and lot's of action. We were able
to provide the entire list. It was also a good season for video
footage; we will have more for the DVD collection. This year
we also had a group form Sweden who have never shot bears before,
they all had great attitudes towards hunting and enjoyed every
aspect of the adventure. The bears they killed were just an
added bonus.
I look forward to next spring as I will have a partner to run
the operation with. Pete has a lot of enthusiasm and is looking
forward to the long baiting process.

Moose Hunt |
This
year was our toughest season in 10 years for Bull Moose. After
last years high success of 12 bulls 13 hunters. This year was
tough on the guides and hunters. We started with 3 archery guys,
they had multiple opportunities but the stars were not aligned
to put bulls on the ground. The rifle season started with a
huge 45 inch bull with boards filled to the bottom, this set
the bar pretty high for the whole camp. The hunters hunted hard
all week but some still left empty handed. The next week was
much the same a huge 53 inch bull and few decent bulls and a
few misses. In the end we had 13 hunters shoot 8 bulls. As of
January 2008 we are having a mild winter so bull populations
will bounce back quickly.

| Elk
Hunt |
|
Elk hunts started with Chris
the Mule deer hunter arrowing his 1st bull at 20 yards called
in. Next rifle season stared with an elk / mule deer combo.
We took a nice 5x5 mule buck opening morning. On the 3rd day
we were moving in on a herd bull and cows when a 6x6 came
trotting in to steal us away, we got him at 30 yards fun hunt.
I then had 2 more elk / moose combos we managed to take 2
bulls in 1 morning it was some exciting calling action again.
2 more bulls were called in that week for a total of 5 bulls
for 7 hunters. A lot of excitement with screaming rut crazed
bulls.

| Mule
Deer Hunt |
It was a great
season again overall numbers were down but some good quality
of bucks left. We had 4 hunters again; we harvested 2 bucks
in the high 170's and a small 3x3 that was an innocent bystander.
Chris who has hunted with us before took a shot at an enormous
200 inch buck that managed to jump the string and avoid a shot
to the ribs. His poor traveling partner a 3x3 took the arrow
in the neck and provided some good camp meat and a filled tag.
It did free up some time for Chris to switch over to Elk and
take his first bull with a bow. Our 4th hunter got some shots
off at excellent bucks but the hunting gods did not reward him
for being the best target shooter in camp, Greg will be back
again next year, I am sure with better results.

| Whitetail
Hunt |
Started very well
with an excellent mid 160 p & y buck then we went right
in to November rifle hunts, where 8 hunters killed 7 bucks.
For a year with no snow and warm temps it was great. Most of
the guys killed the biggest buck of their life.

Next year is looking good. We look forward to getting out
their with the guys again and chasing some big critters
